The point of the game is to move the wii remote so that the dog recognizes commands. Unfortunately, I can only get the game to recognize about 25% of commands. There's no way a child could play this game. In addition, the menu buttons are way too small for a child to navigate. My children constantly mistakenly click the wrong menu button. What happens is I play the game while my kids watch. I get aggravated, and luckily my kids get bored and want to do something else in about 2 minutes.

This game is so boring! Nobody should buy it. I mean, sure, we can fetch with the puppy, and buy things for him or her. But, after you've done that, its like there is nothing else. All you can do is just watch him sit there, doing nothing.

My mother bought this game for my son and my niece, and it is TERRIBLE!!! Most of the game involves moving the wiimote to get the puppy to do various tricks, but even though the motions look simple, the game refuses to recognize them. Apparently it's just too picky. There is no way that my five-year-old and my brother's six-year-old can get these dogs to do anything.

My daughter rec'd this game for her birthday November 2008. What a horrible game! Once in a blue moon she'll want to play this game, and it's always an exercise in futility.

Like others have pointed out, the game doesn't recognize the motions used to command the dog. When she was first playing, I thought that maybe HER motions were too erratic. So I tried. It didn't want to recognize MY motions, either. She was angry that she couldn't get it to understand, and I was tired of her whining. So we put it away and played something else. She got it out again today. She wanted my help with a trick that required a lower-case "h" movement. I probably did it 10 times, and it recognized my movement once.

She told me that this game is a lot more fun on the computer. So if you're interested in a game that involves training and taking care of puppies, don't buy the Wii version -- get it for your home computer, instead!
